Clay Target Shooting
The Clay Target Shooting Section of the FSUK is a highly active and competitive section. The Section annually competes in six Inter-Service events and the Services ‘Classic’, in addition Fire Service members are welcome to attend shoots organised by the Police as part of the ‘999’ Series. These events provide an ideal opportunity to experience some of the country’s best ‘premier’ shooting grounds at very competitive prices.
The Inter Services Series is a team event between the Police, Fire, Army, Navy, RAF and HM Prison Service. Teams are made up of twenty guns with the top ten scores counting for each team. Each service hosts one event in the series competing in a discipline and at a venue of their choice. Although teams are restricted to 20 members we can normally enter additional members to shoot the individual competition, team membership will then depend on track record and average scores to date. If you wish to attend one of these shoots you must let the Section Secretary know at least a week in advance as we are required to declare our team beforehand.
